The div-ling Talk Day continues our commitment to highlighting linguists from diverse social and linguistic backgrounds and their work across a wide range of topics. By bringing multiple talks together in a single day, the event creates a space for diverse perspectives on linguistic questions and encourages exchange across subfields.
The event will take place on 11 August 2026 and will be held entirely online via Zoom. Talks will be grouped thematically, with regular breaks to allow for informal exchange and discussion. We will make every effort to accommodate different time zones when scheduling presentations. Participation is free of charge, both for presenters and for attendees without a presentation.
We explicitly encourage submissions from linguists at all stages of their careers, including undergraduate and postgraduate students, doctoral researchers, postdoctoral researchers, professors, and colleagues working outside academia.
Each presentation will consist of 15 minutes for the talk followed by 5 minutes for questions and discussion.
